The Daymak Tokyo is a lean eBike that offers quick pick-up at a low price. Known for its slim yet elegant design, the Tokyo is the perfect combination of style and substance. The Tokyo has a lot of cargo space for such a small eBike, and matched up against other scooters it certainly holds its own. It comes in 4 vibrant colors that will be sure to stand out as you go. Perfect for short commutes and running errands, the Daymak Tokyo is often considered the economic workhorse of electric scooters. The Tokyo has everything that you need without any of the fluff. Getting up to speeds of 32 KM/h, and traveling a range of up to 40 km, the Daymak Tokyo is not going to leave you feeling empty-handed.
IS THE TOKYO RIGHT FOR ME?
For those looking for carrying space, the Tokyo is definitely for you. It has cargo space of 864 cubic inches in the front, 1089 in the back and 336 under the seat, for a total of 2289 cubic inches of space. It also has a glove compartment available for an extra space for the smaller items that you may need to bring. As far as are smaller electric scooters go, the Tokyo has the most carrying space by quite a margin.
If you are looking for something that is easily maneuverable with lots of storage this may be the scooter for you! With the whole frame of the scooter being approximately 9” wide with the spread of the handlebar being 28”, the Daymak Tokyo is great for storing inside. Additionally, the Tokyo comes with a removable battery pack that can be charged inside the bike or out, which is great if you are storing it for the winter. The weight of the battery pack is 40 lbs, which is manageable to lift but could become tiresome if done repeatedly. Although the Tokyo can take a second rider, this scooter doesn’t have footrests as some other models have, which may cause some minor discomfort.
WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT THE DAYMAK TOKYO
The Tokyo has 3 speed settings which impact the acceleration and torque of the bike. There is no actual speedometer so you should use the flow of traffic or your smartphone to gauge how fast you are going.
There is 12” from the seat front of the seat to the console and 17” to the floor, and the total length of the seat is 21” which will often provide the rider with sufficient leg room especially as a solo rider. You may notice a decline in torque for larger riders.
The Tokyo does not have all the features that some of the comparable models come with normally, just the very basics. It features a rear wheel lock, basic gauge information in battery power, and LED headlights and indicators. One would consider this ultimately the trade off with the Tokyo, by having just the basic features we’re able to keep it at such a low price.
